The Senior Manager of Cloud Infrastructure is responsible for leading the successful design, implementation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the requirements of the organization and ensure the most cost-effective approach is taken. Full Job Description and Responsibilities: You, as the Senior Manager of Cloud Infrastructure oversee technical services, including system maintenance and performance monitoring in support of the overall Engineering service offering. Moreover, your position collaborates with other team members and across teams in developing and defining policies and strategies for integration across services and technical platforms. Define longer-term product direction across cloud infrastructure and platform engineering. Own the roadmap for our infrastructure platform to balance internal customer needs with partner organization needs, platform vision, and Kare’s long term strategy to allow us to deliver incremental solutions that build toward the long-term vision for the platform. Ultimately be responsible for driving a better experience for everyone in the company around infrastructure by helping to provide clearer onboarding, simpler paths to integration with developers CI/CD pipeline and providing monitoring and logging capabilities. Partner broadly across our engineering teams to build feedback loops to understand their needs and ensure that our strategy and roadmap aligns to deliver the best possible developer experience. Work side-by-side with our development, infrastructure and platform engineering teams. Be responsible for the overall quality of service delivered to internal users and clients and work closely with the VP of Engineering and the Director of Software Development in continuing improvement of engineering processes. Contribute to the planning of the overall infrastructure vision and coordinate information technology planning and execution for underpinning technologic infrastructure solutions in the respective domain and/or region. Develop and own the roadmap for the development and evolution of the infrastructure that is appropriate for current needs as well as for future scalability. Lead the provision of support for the applications and engineering teams, ensuring timely resolution and minimized impact of critical incidents. Education and Experience Requirements: BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field 5+ years of experience in a mix of cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and product management roles. Technical understanding of cloud infrastructure combined with a customer-focused mindset. Good technical understanding of some of the following topics: Containers, Container Orchestration (Kubernetes), user access management, Cloud networking, Secret management, Continuous Integration and continuous development (CI/CD) capabilities, Logs and Monitoring services, Security and threat detection capabilities. Ability to work across different disciplines and teams to build a cohesive product vision for our infrastructure platform. Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and using both qualitative and quantitative methods to define a prioritized roadmap. Collaborative team spirit Strong communication skills and ability to work across all aspect of the business to solicit feedback and requirements. Nice to have General knowledge of AWS and Azure and its key services.
