You as an Associate Director of Engineering will be responsible with assisting the VP of Engineering overseeing professional administrative and/or programmatic functions, and participating in the development of strategic plans, plans implementations, and ensuring continued plan adherence. Also, you collaborate in the direction, plans, leads, and motivates the Engineering teams in support of department objectives and in alignment with company vision, priorities, and strategies. Your position is responsible for creating action plans for strategy implementation to achieve department objectives. Full Job Description and Responsibilities: You will provide direction for projects through the associated mangers and / or project managers. You champion and support projects through monitoring existing projects, proposing new projects, and providing high level project guidance, support, and technical consultation where necessary and within your purview. You may be a leader on corrective and preventative actions and may be involved in internal and external audits representing the engineering work within your purview. Collaborate and coordinate effectively with other department leaders and personnel to achieve company goals / objectives. Consult on department vision, strategy, culture, and objectives. Participates in department budgeting and strategic planning. Provide guidance, mentoring, coaching, and feedback to reporting managers / supervisors / etc. Generate action plans in support of company / department vision, strategy, culture, and objectives. Advanced English is a must. Good communication skills, in both person and writing, to provide visibility and align the team priorities with the broader organization. Communication Interviewing Negotiation Planning Management of engineering personnel and projects, including project management best practices and execution Motivation, incentivizing, and performance management Coaching, giving feedback, performance reviews Ability to collaborate and communicate with other departments and to coordinate activities Engineering systems expertise Education and Experience Requirements: Requeriments: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems. Minimum 6 years’ experience as a program manager for software development or software implementation. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Software Projects Manager.
